Emails are commonly intercepted by hackers, and secure communication platforms are a must for handling the sensitive information managed by all law firms. Emails are increasingly less secure for your confidential information, and Communicate is a way for your lawyer to ensure your case’s information only reaches you.
Why is Communicate so secure?
- Two-factor authentication
Communicate requires two-factor authentication for recipients to gain access to the information. Two-factor authentication means that someone who has hacked your email will be unable to open Communicate without also having access to your mobile phone.
- Data encryption
Messages are encrypted and unable to be intercepted by third parties while they are in transit.
- Device/IP address memory
Once you have completed your two-factor authentication, Communicate will remember your device. Unless you log in using a trusted device, you will be required to identify yourself again.
- Password-free
Communicate is completely password-free. Passwords are increasingly insecure as hackers find intelligent ways to guess or copy the passwords from less secure platforms.
- Security monitoring
Communicate uses Auth0 technology for its secure login and comes with constant monitoring for unknown identities trying to gain access. Learn more about Auth0 and their Security, Privacy & Compliance.
- Terminated access
If for any reason both your computer and phone device are compromised, you can get in contact with your lawyer to completely remove your access to a conversation.
